NOTICE OF ELECTION

NORTH GREENBUSH FIRE DISTRICT No.1

In the Town of North Greenbush, Rensselaer County, New York

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the annual election of the qualified voters of North Greenbush Fire District No.1 will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.  Voting for qualified voters residing in Town of North Greenbush Election Districts 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 will be held at the Defreestville Firehouse located at 350 North Greenbush Road Troy, New York 12180.  Voting for qualified voters residing in Town of North Greenbush Election Districts 1, 3, and 7 will be held at the Wynantskill Firehouse located at 511 Church Street Wynantskill New York 12198.

 

This election is being held for the purposes of:

• electing one commissioner for a five-year term, commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2028.

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that all residents who have resided in North Greenbush Fire District No.1 for a period of thirty (30) days prior to the date of the Election and who are duly registered to vote with the Rensselaer County Board of Elections on or before November 20, 2023, the date established by Town Law § 175-a, shall be entitled to vote at this Election.

 

All candidates for the office of Fire District Commissioner must submit their request in writing to be placed on the ballot to the Secretary of the Fire District, Sean Kerwin, at P.O. Box 3, Wynantskill, New York, 12198, no later than November 22, 2023, at 11:59 p.m.
